Aesthetic Facial Treatments for Lines Toowoomba

Procedures

At Allure Clinic, we build personalised treatment plans using a multi-modality approach. Our Practitioners may combine treatments designed to complement one another, with the aim of supporting your skin over time. Your consultation is an opportunity to discuss how our range of treatment options could be used together and whether they may be suitable for you.

Aesthetic Facial Treatments for Lines

Over time, facial lines can appear in areas such as the forehead, around the eyes, and near the mouth as a result of repeated muscle movement and other changes in the skin. While often associated with ageing, the development and severity of these lines can vary between individuals, influenced by factors such as skin health and expression patterns.

At Allure Clinic in Toowoomba, our qualified Practitioners perform a thorough consultation to assess each patient’s needs and determine whether treatment is appropriate. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to the location and depth of the lines, with additional procedures discussed when clinically appropriate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How are aesthetic facial concerns related to lines addressed?

Before any treatment is undertaken, one of our qualified Practitioners will conduct a thorough consultation. This includes assessing your facial features, reviewing your medical history, and determining whether treatment is suitable for you. Initial consultations generally take about 30 minutes.

If treatment is recommended, a personalised approach is used to target the areas where facial lines are most prominent. The number and location of these areas will vary for each patient and are decided in consultation with you.

Some patients may experience mild discomfort during the procedure but your Practitioner can discuss comfort measures and options to help you feel at ease.

We encourage all patients to provide a complete list of medications and supplements prior to treatment, as certain products, such as fish oil or vitamin E, may increase the risk of bruising. Where necessary, specific preparation instructions are given prior to treatment.

Can treatments for facial lines be combined with treatments for volume loss?

In some cases, patients may be assessed for both facial lines and volume loss during a consultation. Lines often appear on the forehead or around the eyes, while volume loss is more common in the mid or lower face. As these concerns typically affect different areas of the face, they require different treatment options.

When both concerns are being addressed, treatment for facial lines are often performed first, with options for volume restoration discussed and planned for a later stage. Not all patients require both approaches, and the most suitable treatment plan and timing are determined during a personalised consultation.

Complementary treatments, such as facials or advanced skin therapies, are usually scheduled at least one week apart from facial line procedures. Your clinician will provide tailored recommendations during your consultation to ensure the best possible results.

Are there potential risks or side effects?

All procedures carry potential risks. Common effects may include temporary tenderness, swelling, or bruising. These typically resolve within a few days.

Less common risks may include infection, headache, allergic reaction, temporary muscle weakness, or numbness. These are discussed during the consultation.

If any concerning symptoms arise after treatment, including significant pain or persistent numbness, patients are advised to seek medical care promptly and contact the clinic.

What can patients expect after treatment?

The effects of treatment are temporary and generally become noticeable within a few days, although the duration and visibility of results can vary between patients. If appropriate, follow-up treatments may be recommended to maintain your treatment outcome.

Mild side effects – such as bruising, redness, or swelling can occur but typically resolve within a few days. Following treatment, patients are advised to follow their Practitioner’s aftercare instructions. These include avoiding rubbing or touching the treated area, remaining upright for several hours, and refraining from strenuous activity or heat exposure for at least 24 hours. Additional care instructions are tailored to each patient’s needs and will be discussed at the time of treatment.

Who may be suitable for this type of treatment?

Patients in good general health who are concerned about expression lines may be assessed for suitability. This treatment is not provided to patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain medical conditions.

Suitability is determined during a consultation with a qualified Practitioner, where individual factors are carefully reviewed.

How should patients prepare for their appointment?

Patients may be advised to avoid certain medications or supplements prior to treatment, depending on their individual risk of bruising or bleeding.

Those with a history of cold sores may be advised to take preventative steps based on medical history. General recommendations include maintaining hydration and overall wellness before the session but specific preparation will be discussed during your consultation. Patients should not attend their appointment with make-up (or this will be removed prior to their treatment).
