ClearSilk™ Laser Treatments

Procedures

At Allure Clinic, we build personalised treatment plans using a multi-modality approach. Our Practitioners may combine treatments designed to complement one another, with the aim of supporting your skin over time. Your consultation is an opportunity to discuss how our range of treatment options could be used together and whether they may be suitable for you.

ClearSilk™ is a gentle, non-ablative laser treatment that produces buildable results with little to no downtime. ClearSilk™ may help to address skin concerns like redness, rosacea, fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, and pigmentation.

A consultation at Allure Clinic in Toowoomba is essential to determine suitability. Following a detailed clinical assessment, your Practitioner will discuss the most appropriate treatment plan for your needs and desired results.

Skin Concerns That May Be Treated with ClearSilk™:

  • Redness and rosacea
  • Vascular and pigmented lesions
  • Skin irregularities like acne and scarring
  • fine lines and wrinkles

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does ClearSilk™ work?

Using a 1064nm laser, ClearSilk™ deposits heat deep beneath the skin’s surface – stimulating fibroblast activity and the body’s natural repair process. As there is no damage to the skin or the surrounding tissues, patients can continue with their normal activities after the treatment.

What happens during the treatment?

Unlike other types of laser, Clearsilk™ is generally a comfortable treatment. During treatment, your Practitioner gently glides the ClearSilk™ handpiece 1/2 an inch away from the skin. After treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for 30 to 60 minutes.

Who is suitable for ClearSilk™ Laser treatments?

ClearSilk™ effectively treats all skin types, including darker skin tones. When combined with BBL®, ClearSilk™ helps maintain healthy and even-toned skin anywhere on the body, effectively treating uneven texture, the appearance of dull skin, rosacea, and diffuse redness.

Prior to undergoing any laser treatment, patients are required to have a skin check with a medical practitioner to confirm clearance before the procedure can be performed.

When is the best time to have this treatment?

Unlike other laser treatments, a ClearSilk™ treatment can be performed any time of year, including summer. Known as the “lunch break treatment”, patients can immediately return to their normal activities.

What are the potential risks and complications?

Risks and complications of fractional laser resurfacing may include:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Temporary changes in skin colour
  • Dryness or flaking
  • Infection
  • Blistering or scabbing
  • Delayed healing
  • Scarring

These risks are discussed during the consultation to ensure patients are fully informed before proceeding.

How many treatments may be required?

The number of sessions depends on the patient’s individual concerns, skin response, and the treatment plan discussed during consultation. Some patients may have one session, while others may return for more treatments over time.
