Feminine Rejuvenation Toowoomba (ThermiVa)
Childbirth and natural ageing processes will often cause changes that affect feminine wellness. A particularly stressful vaginal childbirth or multiple births can cause stretching of the vagina. Even menopause can cause physical and functional changes, such as excessive dryness, which can negatively impact a woman and her sense of wellbeing and happiness.
ThermiVa uses radio frequency energy to gently heat the tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime. This treatment is used internally and externally to tighten tissues, which can lead to improvements in vaginal laxity, urinary frequency and also increased vaginal lubrication. The external vaginal tissues can also be treated, and ThermiVa is currently the only treatment that can treat internally AND externally.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR THE THERMIVA TREATMENT?
If you experience any of these symptoms, you may be a candidate from ThermiVa treatments:
- discomfort during intercourse due to dryness
- dryness of the vagina or labia (atrophic vaginitis) due to menopause
- frequent urinary leaking or urgency
- vaginal laxity and a loose or rubbing feeling – this may involve the labia majora (outer lips of the vagina)
- if you are displeased with the appearance of your labia majora, especially while wearing swim suits, athletic attire, leggings, jeans etc
- if you experience any sexual dysfunction or orgasmic issues
- if you have difficulty retaining tampons or may have pelvic prolapse
How many treatments will I need?
A normal course of treatment usually requires three treatments one month apart. At Allure Clinic, your treatment is performed by our female ThermiVa practitioners, who are Registered Nurses, so your privacy and confidentiality are assured.
When can I begin ThermiVa treatments?
Treatments can be commenced as early as 6 weeks after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery, and the treatment is safe for breastfeeding mothers as well. You will need to have had a recent pap smear (within two years) before commencing treatment, and some minor preparation is required before coming in for your first treatment. Detailed preparation instructions will be provided to you at the time of your initial consultation with our ThermiVa consultants.
Is there any downtime?
Afterwards, you can resume normal daily activities. Once you have completed the course of treatment, it may be recommended that you commence a ‘maintenance’ program from six months onwards, depending on your main area of concern.
